must be the music
word up people. hows things? work has been a bit crap today, d was off again so i was tech support for every customer. i did ok, only a couple of people pissed me off.

something happened yesterday that worries me. i couldn't get the Britney song "Baby one more time" out of my head. not just that, but i kept thinking "this is a good song, i like this." thats just plain wrong, if you ask me. 20yr old heterosexual males don't listen to Britney, we ogle her instead. musically, i'm more into Oasis, RHCP, and people like them.

Liam Gallagher is the last real rock star. the new bands these days are all made up of students, which isn't necessarily bad, but they aren't hell raisers. which is strange because the theory is that all uni students are party animals. you can't really imagine chris martin throwing a telly out the window, can you.

recently, i've been listening to some pixies albums that have been loaned to me by a coworker after i said they're supporting RHCP when i go see them in Hyde Park this summer. they're pretty good, as it happens. i think their music may have influenced people such as Nirvana and The Dandy Warhols (you read that right).

the song in my head now is I Am The Resurrection by The Stone Roses. the full 8min version with its musical outro. for those of you who don't know, the Stone Roses were one of the pioneers of "Madchester", a musical revolution that happened at the start of the 90s in - guess what - Manchester. they influenced people such as Oasis and the La's (only known for one song called There She Goes), Ian Brown (lead singer) is like Liam Gallagher but quieter.

Michael Jackson. what is he? legend or joke? he's a legend, man. thats the answer. ok, he's gone a bit nuts, but he hasnt really had a childhood, has he. he was famous from the age of 8 or something, thats a lot to cope with for anyone methinks. but why is he genius? listen to Billie Jean, that song is the nuts. also, until recently Thriller was the biggest selling album in the world ever. he wrote that when he was 22. maybe 23. but still! i can't write one song, let alone the best album ever, and i'm only a few years behind that. he's a legend.

i don't know what else to write. here's a funny website, Strongbad's Emails. every week Strongbad responds to one of his many emails, a bit like my diary only its funny and people ask him things rather than him thinking them for himself. go look enjoy.
