badges, euro 2004 and rhcp
i got a badge! the boss got a letter from red letter days, who want him to pay for his staff to go sailing or karting or in a hot air balloon or summat. and as a reward, his staff wear badges. mine isn't very clear in that picture, it says "hey boss, one lump or two?" in a reference to teaspoons of sugar in the boss's tea. someone else had one saying "hey boss, you da man!" and there were others saying "i [heart] the boss" and "i want the boss's babies". i gave that last one to the other boss, because everyone knows its really his wife who runs the company. i'd compare the two of them to sybill & basil fawlty. the other boss (who gave us the badges) says his idol is david brent. that says it all, really. anyway, red letter days are too late because we're going to dublin for our christmas party. the bosses are paying for flights, transfers, accommodation, and a big ass meal for all the staff AND partners, so Inkers is coming too and they're paying! looks like it's all being paid for by ebay, where one of the bosses has been selling compuder hardware that we don't need.
this bloody football is driving me mad. i had England to beat croatia 3-1 and france to beat switzerland 3-0. ok, france won 3-1. bastards. they could've at least stopped switzerland scoring like England did. when England were 3-1 up against croatia after 60-ish, i was happy. 3 points in the bag for ME. then igor tudor scored for them (i had him in my team when i was in charge of Juventus in champ. he's great.) and frank lampard scored for us and it was 4-2 and another 2 points for me down the drain.
i was on the RHCP website today, because we're going to see them in hyde park friday and i wanted as much info as i could find. i'd heard that Pixies were supporting them but alas, alack, they aren't. instead its stellastarr and James Brown(!). interesting. not really anything to add to that, i'm excited about going because music live is good. i've been watching the Peppers' Slane Castle gig on the ol' dvd and its a good'un, i especially like Scar Tissue.
