family guy hardcore
sometimes, in extreme circumstances, i go hardcore on something. during my gcses, a traditionally stressful time, i went hardcore playing Champ. it paid off, i won shitloads on a shoestring budget with Tottenham Hotspur. didn't do particularly well in the exams, but i'm a year ahead of my future life plan from before the exams, so who's laughing now? my future life plan was gcses aged 14-16, a-levels on passing the gcses (Maths, English and Business Studies. i thought they gave me a broad option of future career progression) aged 16-18, degree in something like computer science or maybe maths aged 18-21, then find a job in the IT industry (TBC). what happened instead? didnt do that well in the gcses, redid some at college aged 16-17, did a btec national diploma in digital communications and networking aged 17-18 but didn't do as well as i'd hoped so started again with a btec national diploma in computing (networking and ict support) aged 18-20. worked full time at my then-part time job, then in january came to the current place. ok, maybe its only 6 months ahead of schedule. whatever. i'm more wise to the outside world and i don't have a massive debt.

as i was saying. hardcore. when i was off work sick a few weeks back i watched both series' of spaced 'cos its funny. in 2 days.

this leads me to the latest bit of extremeness. i am going to go hardcore watching family guy. why, i hear you cry, am i going hardcore on family guy? i don't know. just feel like it. i've got all 3 serieseses on dvd (14 episodes in the first, 15 episodes in the second, 21 episodes in the third. thats 50 episodes at 25mins each = fucking ages. is it near enough 24hrs?). i'm gonna see how long it takes me to watch them, and bearing in mind i'm off work until monday now i reckon i can do it. crucial times are:

  1. this evening. its now 11:30, and i haven't got a curfew. 3 episodes = 1am, 47 episodes left.
  2. thursday evening. now, i've got be in bed by 9pm because i'm off to Alton Towers with T:B:B: at 6am friday. i'm driving it all therefore i need my sleep so i'm not a danger to other drivers. if i leave Inkers' gaff at about 7pm like i normally do, i'm home about 7:30. thats another 3 episodes = 44 left.
  3. friday evening. lets say i get home at 10pm. no curfew again, but i'm gonna be tired. lets say 4 episodes until midnight = 40 left. this is harder than i thought.
  4. saturday. i normally leave my yard for Inkers at about 4, lets say i'm up at 9am and spend 6 of those 7 hrs watching it. thats 12 episodes. now we're cooking on gas. obviously 12x 25min episodes is less then 6hrs, but i got to go wee wee and get food, havent i. that leaves 28 left, nearly halfway.
  5. saturday evening Inkers is babysitting between 7pm and 11pm. 4hrs. 7 episodes? 21 left. thats the first two series done and dusted.
  6. sunday and monday evenings. shall we say 6 episodes each night? thats another 12 gone, which be 9 left. which i can watch over the following few evenings. shit. not gonna make the target. and if i do, my eyesight is worse than it is now.

i think the hardcore record belongs to Inkers 12yr old sister. might be 11. whatever. anyway, she watched an ENTIRE series of fweinds, thats 24 episodes = 12hrs-ish. in one AFTERNOON/EVENING. its just rock 'n' roll.

laters. got me some family guy to watch.
